As many of you will know I have used state-of-the-art screening for the past 15 years and have found them invaluable aids to my assessment of a patient’s overall health.

The  VegaCheck is a highly advanced system which I now use in the initial screening for all my naturopathic patients, which means anyone who is not consulting me for purely osteopathic reasons.

Holistic methods of examination in this field (called “Functional Medicine”) are now required in the treatment of increasingly complex and severe chronic conditions.

On a more technical note...

A living organism is subject to many regulatory factors, such as the daily (circadian) and monthly cycles. It is less well known that the body also has some very rapid cycles, closely related to metabolic processes. It is precisely these biological fluctuations, minute- and second-paced regulatory processes, that VegaCheck makes use of: the device measures the electrical parameters of specific body segments and their regulatory behaviour. Any deviation from the normal range indicates a disturbance.

VegaCheck provides indications of disturbances that very frequently cannot be detected at all using conventional investigative methods such as X-ray, ultrasound, CAT scans or lab tests.

Based on the VegaCheck measurement, further steps can be taken to confirm the diagnosis. This then makes it possible to optimize patient treatment.
