MASSAGE
REMEDIAL & SPORTS
These sessions have been designed to meet the needs of busy people and I hope will prove to be a valuable additional service to you.
I have designed two types of session, one lasting 30 minutes the other 60 minutes. Both sessions are comprehensive treatments but for some the shorter session is preferable, as it allows one to benefit from regular treatment at a very reasonable cost. (See Appointments and Fees)
Massage by a qualified practitioner stands by itself as a powerful and effective tool for the relief of many physical ailments. Massage can be used for relaxation, for toning the muscles and skin, for sports conditioning or rehabilitation after injury. Many people have massage for controlling the effects of stress, and for reducing the effects of toxicity that builds up due to hectic lifestyles, environmental and dietary causes as well as mental and emotional pressures.
Massage techniques have always formed a major part of my osteopathic treatments and are an invaluable part of the process of restoring healthy functioning. Before entering the osteopathic profession I qualified as a remedial masseur and worked for several years building a repertoire of techniques from Deep Tissue Therapy to Myo Fascial techniques, Visceral massage, Lymphatic Drainage techniques and others.
Massage sessions do not involve any structural adjustments such as those which may be performed in an osteopathic treatment session.
Massage sessions can also be scheduled as interim treatments between osteopathic or naturopathic treatments if desired or as advised, or they can be used exclusively, for those who either do not wish for or do not need these other therapies.
Please feel free to discuss with me your particular needs and I will be happy to advise you on the benefits of each therapy. (Click here)
